A Call to Pray {Exciting Adventures Ahead}

By October 29, 2013This and That

Ladies, it is time to hit our knees.

HelloMornings has hit a crossroads and, as I mentioned back in March, we are in need of a new pair of jeans as we have outgrown our current duds. The exciting news is, after months of praying and shopping, We’ve found the perfect pair of glorious blue denim.

A new registration site is coming!

We will be building a new registration site! Technically, Ted at Contemplate Design will be building it, and we couldn’t be more excited. Here are just a few of the advantages this new site will afford us.

Greater Flexibility

The biggest “win” this will give us is greater flexibility in the amount of challenges we do a year, as well as the length of those challenges. As it stands, our manual registration system is full of flaws, takes dozens of women working it, and a solid 2 months of work ahead of time to be ready for registration.

Our current registration situation is the number one reason why we do not have more challenges. With this new registration site, the work load will be drastically reduced, allowing us to host more frequent, shorter challenges.

Room for Growth

The Lord has been so gracious to bless and grow this ministry! Yet, the thought of adding more women at this point is overwhelming. Automating our registration system will allow our ministry to be scalable and — if the Lord wills — to continue growth.

You can be a part of God’s work in HelloMornings.

Like any good pair of jeans, web development is not cheap. We need your prayers and financial support to make this happen.

So, today I ask you to pray.

Pray for wisdom and direction as we take this step of faith. Pray that we would be ever on the heels of God’s will for this ministry; that we would stay in step with His Spirit. Pray also that God would show each of us what we He would have us give over the months to come, to help us put together this new pair of jeans.

Thank you so much ladies. I would be honored if you would leave a prayer in the comments.

Excited for all that is to come,

— Katie

(We will be giving you fun opportunities to give toward the HelloMornings ministry in the weeks ahead, but if you are just itching to give, you can do so here.)

I pray that you will bless Ted, Katie, and Kat as they oversee this new transition into the new registration site. Give them wisdom, skill, and direction. We are so excited about what You are doing. Holy Spirit, have your way in us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

    Excited! 🙂

  • Jen says:

Lord Jesus, King of Kings, Maker of heaven and earth…somehow in Your goodness, grace, and mercy, You delight in our seeking You. You bestow upon us the honor of being part of Your rescue plan for the world. Lord we’re so thankful this morning for You. So thankful for Your love that saves us, Your patience that endures our inadequacies with kindness, and Your Spirit Who strengthens, equips, unites, comforts, convicts, empowers and leads us.

Thank you Jesus for Your provision that sustains us. You are the God of endless resources and when You call us, you provide all that is needed to fulfill the call, to your glory and the service of others. Father, today our hearts lift up the HelloMornings ministry and all the sisters and brothers who are involved. We ask for Your sustaining grace to be like water to their thirsty souls and for Your immense provision to be exceedingly above what they could even ask or think of to accomplish the tasks you’ve set them apart for. We trust You Lord. Quite simply, we believe what You’ve said in Your Word and therefore we come with humble boldness before Abba Father. In Jesus’ powerful name and for His sake we ask these things in faith. Amen

“The prayer of the feeblest saint who lives in the Spirit and keeps right with God is a terror to satan.” Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest

“The Spirit alone makes the power of God so real to our inner person that we are enabled to ask, seek, and knock with bold assurance.” Jim Cymbala, Spirit Rising

Paraphrase of 1 Chronicles 20-21: Be strong and courageous and do the work. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed for the Lord, God is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you and will continue with you until all the work for the service is finished…And behold, with you in all the work will be every willing person who has skill for any kind of service.

Blessings to you Katie! Looking forward to brainstorming…

I’m so excited about this! I trust that we will listen and hear the part each individual has to play, and that we will understand and accept the larger picture as part of the plan. Forward in faith.
