HelloExercise February Challenge {#helloheart}

When you think of February, hearts may come to mind – after all it is the month of Valentine’s Day. What a great focus for our newest HelloExercise challenge. We want to strive for a healthy heart in all areas – spiritually, emotionally and physically. The February HelloExercise Challenge will help you focus on your physical health.

This Month’s Exercise Challenge

If you recall from the mini HelloMornings MOVE Challenge in January, we talked about setting S.M.A.R.T. goals and making exercise a priority as a way to honor God with our bodies. In February, you will have an opportunity to set a personal goal and work towards achieving that goal, while being encouraged through the HelloExercise Tribe Facebook group.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Determine your goal for the month.
  2. Share your February goal below in the comments. For added accountability, join the HelloExercise Facebook group. On Wednesdays, there will be a GOAL CHECK-IN status posted in the HelloExercise Tribe’s Facebook group, where you can share your successes or setbacks.
  3. Share your progress throughout the weeks, and at the end of the month, there will be a few HelloExercise Tribe prizes/giveaways to celebrate our successes! (Note, this is only for those who participate on the Facebook group.)

Subscribers, you will find the link to the tracker below this post in your email or RSS reader. If you would like to become a subscriber of our updates, you can do that here, and the link to download the challenge will be emailed to you after you confirm your subscription!

    My February goal is to get back to exercising at least 3-4 days per week the way I used to.

      Arian, my goal is to exercise at least 3-4 days per week too, to get into the habit. 🙂 We can do this!

      Arian, that’s a great goal! Schedule your workouts on your calendar at the start of each week…if you belong to a gym, consider trying a new class. I have met many wonderful friends in group exercise classes. Glad you are joining us for this challenge!

    My Feb goal is to walk everyday after dinner.

    Still have my goal as 26.2 miles/month – so about two 5Ks/week. I’ll need to add an extra this month, but I’m happy with my progress in 2014.

    My goal is to walk 50 miles. If I walk 2 miles per day, I will reach this goal with 6 miles to spare!

    My goal is to exercise at least five times a week and read the bible daily in the mornings. Also, I would like to lose three pounds.

    My goal is to continue the exercise routine that I started in January,
    I will walk 20 min at 2mph 5 times a week. In addition I will do 50
    ball crunches, 50 lying hamstring curls, and 25 wall pushups.

    Depending on how I feel, I may try some additional weight-lifting
    exercises. I may add additional minutes and reps as well on the 15th.

  • My goal is to complete my leg strengthening exercises at least 5 times a week in preparation for a total knee replacement March 5.

  • My goal is be more consistent in my exercise.

    My February goal is to keep on with my 5K training. I always quit after the second week, but not this time!

    My February goal is to get back into the habit of working out 4-5 times a week.

    Been recovering from pneumonia. My goal is to start moving again. Short walk each day. Also do my breathing exercises daily to clear up my lungs.

    My goal is to walk a mile (or other aerobic exercise of similar duration) at least 5 days a week.

    My goals are: quiet Jesus time before kids wake, exercise 3-4 times a week, drink more water and limit sweets.

    My goal is to begin re-taking off the 25# I lost last year and continue until I reach 90# lost by establishing a regular exercise routine and better eating habits. My goal for February is to walk an average of a mile a day and begin biking again as the weather permits. My body belongs to God and I haven’t treated His property the way it deserves to be treated. Thank you Hello Mornings for the much needed accountability.

  • My goal is to walk my 10, 000 steps a day and and do my “The Firm” dvd’s I have at least 3-4 days a week. “TRY” doing pilates at least 2 days as well.

    Like a lot of you ladies, I would like to exercise at least 3-4 days per week. Also, I want to get more organized and knowledgeable about how to work out different muscle groups and about cardio. My gym has a free consultation you can do with their personal trainer to get a personalized plan, so I really want to do that!

    My goals for February are to get moving, no matter what it is. Spend more time with Him and in His word, and to cut out sodas. Monsters, and other energy drinks will be my next step. Baby steps, here!! lol I eventually want to get rid of all caffeine and carbonated drinks, that will happen in time. Right now, I need to get spiritual life and my physical life back in shape, so that’s what I’ll be working on this month.

    My goal is to fall in love with The Lord all over this month (it’s valentines month and I am a sap). I plan to dig into the scriptures while riding the expresso at least 30 min a day!!!! I want to add one yoga class per week this month

    I didnt really see a “tracking” sheet of any kind at the end of my email. It just gave details of the challenge. Is there supposed to be one?

    My February goal is to get back to walking every morning at least 30 minutes a day, and to catch up on my OT reading while on the treadmill.

    My goals are:
    to walk 20 min 5 times a week on treadmill
    50 ball crunches, 50 lying hamstring curls, 25 wall pushups
    Try to walk 2,000 steps every day

  • My goal was to get back and excercise again…….Choose for the gym twice or 3 times a week …..Got a beginning program takes not more than 30 min and some mornings i join in a group lesson mostly pillates or body-shape….
