Have you heard that it takes 21 days to effectively adapt a new habit or routine? Whether this is true or not I’m not really sure but it sounds like a great idea and a timeline always motivates me. I have lots of ideas, projects, disciplines I would like to take on and achieve. They all are just swimming around in my head or piling up on my desk or overflowing from my closet! It’s not that I don’t know what I want to work on. It’s where do I start? And how do I keep motivated to follow through?

What if you weren’t alone in this endeavor of tackling that next big project? What if there were hundreds of other women just like you going after their own projects. What if there was a step by step book that told you what to do? Step by step, little by little we accomplish our goal and encourage and motivate one another along the way?

Here’s the Kick in the Pants You Need

Ladies you have come to the right place! Today we are kicking off a new challenge/book club.

Together we will be going through the ebook 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life by Crystal Paine of Money Saving Mom. Day 1 of the challenge will begin this Thursday. We will be reading a chapter a day each weekday (M-F) for 21 days. Each Wednesday we will be posting about the challenge and sharing our own progress toward becoming more disciplined. Yes, we are doing this with you!

So you may be thinking what do I choose? This is entirely up to you. It could be as big or as small as you want it. But remember the goal is to develop discipline along the way and see the goal to completion. Maybe you want to tackle a project in your home: organizing kids clothes, the garage, family pictures, recipes. Maybe there is a new routine you want to start like meal planning or a way to manage the after school madness that takes place (or is that just my house?). Maybe you haven’t quite got the hang of how to do this whole HelloMornings routine of getting up early to spend time with God, exercise and plan. Trust me, you are not alone. You could take the 21 Day Challenge to help establish a HelloMornings routine that works for you.

How Do I Start?

So here’s the deal, grab your PDF copy of 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life or a Kindle version on Amazon (affiliate links) and take some time between now and Thursday to read Day 1 and decide what your project will be for the 21 Day Challenge. On Thursday we will come back here and share our Mega Project game plan with each other and we’ll touch base throughout the month on Wednesdays.

Here is an overview of the challenge:

  • Sometime before Thursday 10/3, read and complete Day 1 of 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life.
  • Friday, 10/4 read and complete Day 2
  • October 7-11 Days 3-7
  • October 14-18 Days 8-12
  • October 21-25 Days 13-17
  • October 28-31 Days 18-21
