Meet The Authors

Ali Shaw

Ali-shawAli can’t believe how blessed her life is! Wife of 20 plus years and homeschooling momma to one grown and two school-aged daughters, Ali leads a full, grace-filled life. She writes with an amazing group of women at DoNotDepart (where she’s recently become site owner) and also serves on the HelloMornings Leadership Team… and is just generally in awe that God will use a regular girl like her!

Woven with practical insight, her writing lovingly encourages other women to seek God daily through the reading and study of His Word. She blogs occasionally at Heartfelt Reflections, where she’s written an online Bible study, Learning from Job, and is the author of a full length, in depth Bible study of Abigail available in PDF form. (Email alisonshaw74@gmail.com for details.)

Elizabeth Oates

Elizabeth-OatesElizabeth is an author, blogger, and speaker who hates math and numbers, but loves words, people, and cheering for the underdog. She weaves a message of restoration into her writing in hopes of drawing people to Christ.

Elizabeth earned her B.A. from Baylor University and an M.A. from Dallas Theological Seminary before writing two books: a Bible study for teens called, Dealing with Divorce: Finding Direction When Your Parents Split Up and an emotionally challenging, yet encouraging book for women called, If You Could See as Jesus Sees: Inspiration for Hope, Joy, and Purpose.

She is married to Brandon and they have three biological kids, as well as a foster child who they plan to adopt in spring 2016. You can read more from Elizabeth at www.elizabethoates.com

Lara Williams

Lara WilliamsLara-Williams is a speaker and author who has walked through valleys of death, addiction, and betrayal, and experienced the miraculous ability of God to bring victory in spite of circumstance. She describes the beat of her heart to be revival in our moments as daughters of the King.

Lara has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Seminary. But she often says, “If what I teach (and write and tweet) doesn’t first invade and transform the moments of my life, then I am missing the point.”

Lara and her husband, Adam, live in North Carolina with their three children. “Life can get pretty messy,” she says, “But our home is a place where God has ‘shown-off’ and redeemed the broken. There is hope in Him.”

You can find her writing with a team of authors at Do Not Depart, on her blog at Joyful Mama, and with her daughter at Blossoms and Posies. Kelly R. Baker

Kelly R. Bakerkelli-r-baker writes to motivate Christ followers to stay spiritually nourished and thriving. Her core message is to grow spiritually by eating “daily bread,” and enjoy the fruit that comes from a life yielded to God.

She is a homeschool mama and chick flicks are her favorite. When not keeping her crew of four on the family routine you will probably find her sneaking a bite (or more) of dark chocolate.

Kelly is an ordained ministry leader with an Associates Degree in Theology, and serves alongside her husband, Justin, as the worship pastors for their church. Connect with her at kellyrbaker.com.
