Inertia vs Your Morning Routine (...a lesson from my high school glory days)

Aug 03, 2020

I was in the Physics Club in high school.

I know what you’re thinking, this woman’s sheer coolness knows no bounds.

It was actually a lot of fun and we got a free trip to Six Flags, which may have been the primary reason for my membership.

But I also learned about inertia.

Inertia is the concept that “An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion.”

This is true with objects, people and even our attitudes.

When we start our day asking God what He is asking of us and what is on His heart, we are more likely to keep doing that.

When we start our day with purpose and making wise choices, we are more likely to do that throughout the day.

When we start our day making healthy, energy building choices, we are more likely to keep doing that.

The great thing about inertia is that it doesn't take a lot to get going. When it comes to our morning, just 3-minutes can make all the difference.

So, this is your moment. Will you "get in motion"?

Cheering you on,
