Are you ready for this, 'cause some of you are going to want to slap me after this one...
I can't remember how long ago I finally said "Adios!" to the snooze button, but it has been a good change. This is coming from the gal who's college roommates dubbed me the Snooze Queen. So, I totally get this struggle.
To be sure I am clear here, when I say ditch the snooze, I mean it.
No more snoozing. Disable it!
When that alarm goes off you need to make the decision to get up, or not.
If you feel you are truly exhausted and need the extra sleep, set your alarm for a half hour later, or however long you need to sleep. No use interrupting that extra needed sleep every 9 minutes with the snooze alarm.
And, if you are not truly exhausted, but rather...hesitant (or like me, lazy!), here is where you choose tip #4 and get vertical instead of snoozing.
Seriously, ladies, I look back on my years of snoozing and all I see is a waste of sweet sleep. Reality is, I had no intention of really getting up that early. I think it was a gesture—so I could say I had tried. Deep down, I knew it wasn't going to happen. I knew that I would choose to snooze.
Either way, don't waste your morning snoozing.
OK, confession time...how many times do you usually press snooze? And, the more important question, are you willing to kick the snooze button to the curb?
